Product Engineer
The mission
Our mission is to end waiting lists for neurodiversity care, and our customers are the clinics delivering those assessments. The features you ship don't just move a metric: they change how someone experiences support, and how a clinician who's dedicated their life to helping others is able to do that job well. This is a chance to work on hard, ambiguous product problems where the payoff is genuinely felt: watching something you built make a clinician's day easier, or make a patient's care better.
What you'll do
Ship complex, AI-enabled full-stack features end-to-end, working alongside our ML engineers and clinicians, through to the messy real-world edge cases that show up once real clinicians and real patients start using what you built. You'll be working in a highly regulated healthcare product with real ambiguity (thin specs, fast iteration), and you'll need good judgment to navigate both.
Essential
- 5+ years of software engineering experience.
- Track record of shipping complex features end-to-end, handling edge cases, state, data flow, and messy real-world behaviour.
- Strong full-stack engineering fundamentals with an architectural mindset: sensible API and data-model design, maintainable and well-structured code, testing.
- Moves fast without accruing avoidable technical debt.
- Strong context-building instincts: reads existing code and requirements, asks the right clarifying questions, and understands how a feature fits the wider product before writing it.
- Startup-calibrated: comfortable in ambiguity and thin specs, makes good scope and UX judgement calls independently.
Nice to have
- Experience with our specific stack: Python, AWS, React, TypeScript, Auth0.
- Experience building on LLM-based APIs, Amazon Bedrock especially.
- Background in healthcare, clinical tools, or another regulated domain.
- Experience working with sensitive personal/health data, with working knowledge of GDPR/HIPAA-adjacent basics.
- Comfortable explaining technical tradeoffs to non-technical stakeholders.
Pay and equity
We pay circa £110,000 for this role, depending on your experience. The role also carries equity, so you hold a share of what you help build.
